About the role
Amazon seeks a highly effective Financial Analyst to be a key member in the Echo/Alexa Monetization Finance team. The candidate must be able to balance challenging priorities, meet tight deadlines and provide insights and recommendations backed by data driven analysis. This role will also work with various functional stakeholders including, but not limited to: Alexa Advertising, Alexa International and Alexa domain teams.
The role will specifically support Alexa's International and non-EFD monetization. The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with strong data gathering and modeling skills. The role also has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Build financial models/business cases on new monetization programs, new partnerships, growth initiatives, new product features, and productivity programs
- Drive automation and scale of financial reporting. Simplify process for internal stakeholders (e.g., finance peers and monetization partners)
- Driving finance communication with partner teams on product performance and financial impact, including identification of risks and opportunities.
- Provide insights and clarity on Alexa's International and non-EFD monetization opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.
- Partnering with product management and engineering teams to understand initiatives and influence financial results
- Partnership with Alexa business and Alexa Finance stakeholders to help develop short- and long-term forecasts

- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
