Education

  • Finance related bachelor’s degree or other business-related experience.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Must have 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience.
  • Must have a minimum two years demonstrated experience in finance, budgeting, and analytics.
  • Strong excel and logic skills with knowledge of database interaction.
  • Prior costing, productivity, and revenue cycle experience a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and SQL skills required.
  • Knowledge of software packages in use at Jupiter Health Inc. preferred. 
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills required.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director and Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Analyst

is responsible for supporting finance and budgeting initiatives including planning, set up and training.

  • Essential functions are to strategize for future growth to ensure scalability.
  • Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries.
  • Ensure integrity of cost data, including scheduled uploads, downloads, and reconciliations.
  • Review allocations of expense to appropriate departments as necessary.
  • Update and maintain cost accounting software and allocation templates.
  • Assist with variance reports and explanations for all hospital entities, including Productivity and MOR’s.
  • Support revenue calculations and journal entries for the monthly financial close process.
  • Assist Finance/Accounting team with other items and reports as required.
  • Assist Managed Care team with payer analysis, negotiations, and other items as required.
  • Other tasks, projects, and duties as assigned.
