Compensation includes a base salary of $65,500.00 - $98,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Role Summary

Manheim is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Financial Analyst II to join our team.  The Financial Analyst II will report to the Sr. Finance Manager, Finance, and will assist in the implementation of processes to standardize and centralize financial reporting and analysis across the organization.  This role will support in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions, create and support standardized forecasting models, and assist with business case preparation and presentation. 

This is a highly collaborative role requiring partnership with cross functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.  The analyst will be a key liaison with functional areas within the organization and will be responsible for supporting the Physical Marketplace.

A focus on continuous improvement, including the centralization and enhancement of Finance processes and procedures, is essential to success in this position. The ideal candidate will leverage strong business acumen to provide strategic insights and support.  This Financial Analyst II will be able to adapt to changing business needs and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem solving.  This role will prioritize enhancing technical skills and ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with assigned business partners and develop sound analytics.
  • Assist in consolidating and streamlining auction and region and location specific month-end reporting, variance analysis, and risks/opportunity assessments.
  • Assist in creation of driver-based models to support physical auctions.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly executive financial presentations.
  • Assist in development of forecasts and LRP.
  • Provide support for business case creation and presentation.
  • Provide Ad Hoc reporting and auction support as needed.

Leadership & Development

  • Remain current on best practices and trends relevant to finance and related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at operating locations, and key corporate stakeholders, ensuring that they understand and value the services provided by the Finance team and respond to feedback regarding opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Cox Automotive to ensure appropriate service levels are being provided.
  • Complete special projects and prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Perform related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Qualifications:

  • Requires BA/BS degree in a related discipline and 2+ years of finance experience with a strong focus in financial analysis and case modeling, or MS degree and up to 2 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong communication skills.  Ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner and explain financials to various audiences.
  • Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong bias for action.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including financial functions, formulas, shortcuts, pivot tables, lookups, charting/graphing) and command of PowerPoint (design, formatting, charting/graphing).
  • Highly organized with high sense of ownership and excellent follow-through.
  • Ability to operate and work across functional groups in a matrixed organization.
  • Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple changing priorities, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Experienced in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating individual and team activities.
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint skills preferred, with an emphasis on effective, professional presentation design/formatting.
  • Advanced Power Bi skills preferred, with an emphasis on effective, professional presentation design/formatting.
