Financial Analyst - Accounting

OVERVIEW

We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Accounting Financial Analyst to join our growing team. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Accounting Financial Analyst will serve as a key member of the accounting team, responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data, primarily through balance sheet reconciliations and process improvements. This role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency, supporting the Accounting Manager, and providing leadership during periods of high demand or absence (such as project “Peak” requirements). Key responsibilities include performing root cause analysis, identifying process bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to enhance accounting operations. This role will assist in credit management, payables management, and general ledger (GL) management, ensuring smooth operations across these key areas. Additionally, this role will lead the Intercompany (ICY) reconciliations for the Financial Reporting Team, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and will be involved in complex special projects, contributing to broader organizational goals. This role requires a strong technical accounting foundation, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key accountabilities include:

• ICY Monthly Reconciliations
• Accurate Completion of ICY Reconciliation’s within set deadlines.
• Assist Accounting Manager & Team in Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations    
• Accurate and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliation’s
• Project “Peak” Assistance  (AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets & Other)    
• Accurately and timely completion of projects assigned
• Rockford Assistance  - Work closely with Rockford Team on Accounting Needs
• Accurate and timely completion per set deadlines

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance related degree required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong focus on Credit, Payables, and General Ledger (GL) Management.
• Proven experience supervising and leading teams, with a track record of effectively managing and developing staff.
• Extensive expertise in performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations with a keen attention to detail.
• In-depth experience managing Trade and Non-Trade Accounts Receivable (AR) deductions, particularly with major wholesale customers and Amazon.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, systems, and best practices, with the ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Ability to manage complex, high-volume transactions and maintain a high level of accuracy and accountability.
• Proficient in utilizing ERP systems and highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, to streamline processes, analyze data, and enhance reporting capabilities.  Proficient in working on cross-functional projects that involve collaboration between different departments.
