Finance Principal, Corp FP&A

Amazon seeks a talented and motivated Finance Principal to play a critical role on the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (Corp FP&A) team. This is a highly visible role responsible for driving the reporting and analysis of Amazon’s Consolidated financial statements. The successful candidate will lead a team in publishing scalable analyses, key performance indicators, and insights to executive leaders to inform decision making. This role requires significant organizational skills, prioritization, high attention to detail, exercise of high judgement in sometimes ambiguous situations, and coordination among individuals throughout the organization to effectively deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead Total Company financial reporting for all Plan, Forecast and Actual reporting cycles
• Financial analyses and narratives to support SEC filings and IR activities
• Prepare financial summaries for executive leadership, including the Board of Directors
• Lead Corporate FP&A process improvement initiatives
• Ad hoc analyses as needed and requested from executive leaders

Basic Qualifications

- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience
- Experience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or or other BI packages

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA, or CPA
- Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
