Finance Lead

We’re recruiting a Finance Lead on behalf of a large, well-established organisation based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This is a full-time, temporary position working 37 hours per week, paying £28.40 per hour (FTE equivalent £56,595) — and a strong opportunity for a qualified finance professional looking for a senior, varied role where your expertise will have a genuine impact.

Working closely with internal stakeholders across the business, you’ll play a key role in supporting financial systems, delivering accurate reporting and driving the kind of operational efficiency and continuous improvement that underpins good decision-making at every level. Main Responsibilities:

* Supporting and improving financial systems and processes to drive accuracy and efficiency

* Ensuring accurate and timely reporting and data management across the function

* Collaborating with internal teams to deliver financial insights that support business decisions

* Maintaining compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards

* Driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency across financial workflows

* Managing workflows and supporting system improvements in line with business needs

* Providing technical finance expertise and support to stakeholders across the organisation

Skills/Experience:

* Qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or equivalent experience — essential

* Proven experience in financial consolidation, planning, forecasting and reporting — essential

* Strong variance and cost analysis skills — essential

* Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders effectively

* Strong commercial and business acumen

* Good working knowledge of financial reporting and analysis tools such as Power BI, SAP or similar — essential

Hourly Rate & Working Hours:

£28.40 per hour (FTE equivalent £56,595). Full-time, 37 hours per week. Based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
