About the job

SUMMARY 
Responsible for directing the organization's accounting functions. Specific areas include the development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems, analysis and interpretation of trends requiring management's attention, the preparation of financial and management reports and procedures, and the presentation of findings and specific recommendations to senior management. Provides leadership and ensures company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

Your tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES 
• Manages financial assets and safekeeping of the company’s material assets. 
• Identifies problems, provides optional courses of action, and identifies likely outcomes. 
• Analyzes every aspect of company activities and identifies economic weaknesses, prepares reports that will serve as a basis for improving earnings and for reducing risks, and supervises the execution of such plans. 
• Monitors and accounts for the flow of investment capital from parent company into subsidiary. 
• Makes proposals for efficiency and profit improvements. 
• Manages month-end closing processes and reporting including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
• May prepare and submit sales tax returns and works with corporate headquarters on income tax returns and other statistical returns. 
• Adapts and develops accounting procedures and policies to keep up with company needs and requirements of the group. 
• Manages investment requests and ensures proper control over cash and investments. 
• Plans and develops an efficient and effective financial accounting system including: general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and planning and budgeting. 
• Ensures system of internal controls are effective, always looking for continuous improvement 
• Ensures the coordination standards and the financial policy/principles of the Franke group are adhered to. 
• Arranges and controls periodic physical inventories. 
• Prepares reports, which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. 
• Manages budget preparation, budget proposals, and prepares supporting documentation and justification. 
• Assists with audits of Company accounts. 
• Coordinates with Human Resources all aspects of employee relations including, but not limited to, employee interviewing, hiring, coaching, counseling, disciplinary action, complaints, scheduling, training and development etc. 
• Coordinates with Franke group on insurance requirements and risk management  
• Reliable attendance is a must. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. 
Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, and analysis and reporting of financial data. 
Very High Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches  
 and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.  
Very High Mathematical Skills - Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to s
