This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

 

JERSEYSTEM is a non-profit organization that promotes excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering andMath (“STEM”) education among youth and helps themprepare for college and STEM careers.

The ideal pro bono accountant is responsible for the coordination and execution of account reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable function. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, purchases and donations
• Conduct account reconciliations
• Review and verify accuracy of financial and contract paperwork and processes
• Summarize and prepare financial records and statements for reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
• 2+ years accounting experience
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in using Quickbooks
• 6 month minimum commitment, 3-5 hours/week
• Must reside in NJ
