Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures
- Drives to job sites and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials
- Returns samples to the office for testing
- Reports data in an accurate, complete, timely, and understandable fashion in accordance with applicable testing procedures
- Operates testing equipment; ensuring that all test equipment used is functioning properly and maintained as required by the company and/or manufacturer's policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle
- Operates a motor vehicle, which includes maintaining the company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside/outside upkeep)
- Communicates with the dispatching team and/or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required; cellular phones are to be worn at all times, and calls are to be returned immediately
- Prepares testing reports using Field Data Collection (FDC) software; ability to write and retrieve emails using Microsoft Outlook
- Must be willing to travel within the state of Florida, if applicable
- Completes daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy
- Turns in required paperwork daily
- Regular attendance is required
- Must be flexible to changing schedules and hours to support business needs; overnight and weekend schedules may be necessary to support business needs
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Other duties may be assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria)
- Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification).
- Ability to read and write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients.
- Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, and the ability to learn Field Data Collection (FDC)/Inspector Gadget to input data and prepare reports.
- Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.
Preferred Qualifications:
