Summary:We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Field Support Technician to join our team on a temporary basis. The Field Support Technician will be required to work 3rd shift evening hours (Between 9pm - 5am; Sunday through Thursday) with flexible hours during weekends as needed  across multiple bus depots.  
This entry-level role is designed to support troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining assets at multiple customer locations. The Field Support Technician will gain hands-on experience while adhering to safety protocols and building strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company at the customer location with the highest standards of professional conduct
  • Assist technicians in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing customer assets on-site.
  • Follow established safety procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer service skills, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation for troubleshooting and repairs, records time and materials used for each assignment in asset management platform.
  • Support High Voltage (HV) charger operations, including conducting plug cycles and responding to service needs.
  • Perform Low Voltage (LV) battery replacements and jump-starts as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Participate in training programs and hands-on learning opportunities to develop technical expertise.

Desired Qualifications

  • Automotive Technology certification from an accredited school preferred (not required)
  • Basic electrical and AC skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
  • Reliable transportation is required to ensure punctuality and flexibility traveling across work locations
  • Must have a clean driving record
