As a Field Service Engineer, your role will be essential to the operations, maintenance, and delivery of our proprietary suite of analytic tools. This is a hybrid position with an average of 3 days/week on Government site.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Security, Information Technology or related discipline and 8+ years of relevant professional experience. Will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.
U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI security clearance
Excellent customer service skills, writing ability and work ethic
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work in a team environment
Public speaking ability
Continuous learning as expected in the cybersecurity industry
Learn to become an expert on the installation, configuration and operation of Parsons developed software tools
Train customers on the use of Parsons developed software tools
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification
Experience with Network Analysis:
Open-source tools like wireshark, tcpdump, nmap
Network fundamentals, protocols analysis, OSI model, TCP/IP stack
Passive network mapping with tools like Visio or draw.io
Network monitoring with SIEM solutions
Experience with IT Administration:
Linux OS patching and maintenance on a closed network (Rocky, RHEL, Centos, Ubuntu, Kali)
Scripting with bash, python, or ansible
Contributing to technical documentation
Enforcing IT equipment usage policy
Hardware server, storage solution, workstation, and laptop setup and maintenance
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with VM and Cloud Computing Administration:
Virtual Machine administration (VMWare ESXI / VSphere, Virtual Box, KVM)
Cloud computing (Openstack, Salt)
Kubernetes and Docker administration
Shared storage solution administration (Dell Unity, VSphere VSAN)
Experience with Network Device Administration:
Switch with VLAN configuration
Router with routing protocols (RIP, BGP, OSPF)
Hardware firewall solutions
Experience with Cyber Security:
DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) scan and remediation lock down implementation
Computer security certification scans
Firewall configuration
Access Control Lists and IP Table configuration
