WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In this role you will:

• Interacts with customers to ensure their needs are being met

• Monitors and manages cabling technician productivity

• Coordinates and arranges for appropriate staffing

• Prepares required reports, including customer satisfaction

• Monitors technical quality

• Helps to improve deficiencies and build on the strengths of individual technicians

• Receives and resolves complex or sensitive customer complaints and problems

• Ensures that the cabling team receives the appropriate training required to be successful in their roles

• Ensures all cabling employees have the proper tools, identification, uniforms, and equipment

• Verifies that work areas are safe

• Scheduling of field team jobs

• Monitors job profitability

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Education:

• High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred

Experience:

• Five (5) or more years of work experience as a Journeymen

Skills and Competencies:

• Must be able to commute to the Livermore, CA office 5 days a week

• Must live within a 1.5-hour radius for commute time to allow for a 7-hour day at the office

• Needs to have a flexible schedule to support various start times to accommodate customer and team needs. Responsible for scheduling themselves accordingly.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities

• Professional telephone etiquette

• Effective employee supervisory and leadership skills

• Ability to understand and interpret technical information

• Knowledge of network standards, maintenance, and troubleshooting

• Awareness of hazardous materials and safety protocols

Certifications and Training:

• Manufacturer-specific certifications

• RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) preferred

• Asbestos & Maintenance 16-Hour Certification

• Lead Renovator Certification

• Fire Stopping Training

• First Aid/Medic Certification

• Confined Workspace Training

• OSHA 16 and OSHA 30 Certifications

Physical and Other Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to climb ladders and work in physically demanding environments

• Valid California driver’s license and a good driving record

• Reliable, well-maintained vehicle in good working condition

• Proof of auto insurance
