JOB SUMMARY

The Field Services and Training Specialist – Global Manager is responsible for seamless coordination and deployment of technician support, standardized & customized training delivery, value-added technical assistance, and industry association best-practice advisory efforts through a team of support specialists.

The Field Services and Training Specialist Global Manager must maintain essential functions to promote & strengthen the benefits of the department’s interactions externally and internally.

StoneAge’s ‘Services division comprises Instructor-Led Training (SA hosted and on-site), Field Technician Support (SA hosted and on-site), On-Line Training, Engineering Support, and limited Consulting services to end-user groups.

Transparency and consistency are critical to achieving an established expectation, end-users safe success, and coherence with StoneAge products & Industry Association guidelines. The (Training) & Services Manager – North America* is a crucial member of the StoneAge team to foster and propagate safe and effective industrial cleaning practices and support globally.

The goal of this manager is to educate contractors and plants on how to use both StoneAge and other associated system equipment in an optimal manner, perform hydro blasting safely, increase productivity or achieve a productive state, and understand the operational advantages that can be realized by migrating work to hands-free / automated equipment.

StoneAge strives to elevate overall industry awareness and safe work practices at a high level by providing an accessible suite of comprehensive training and field service offerings through multiple platforms. The Field Services and Training Specialistsupports developing and delivering these offerings.

The position is to act as an Accessory RSM representing the (training or service) offering, working with the client’s appropriate primary RSM and Branch Managers. The position is responsible for providing timely proposals, calendar availability & scheduling coordination, content or technician expertise most compatible with the client’s need, consistent delivery for repeat occurrences, and all Sales Reporting & ERP System processes related to the account. The position will also provide strategic and technical support to the Customer Experience, Sales, and Engineering & Technology teams to develop & field test equipment that improves contractor safety and efficiency.

This position reports to the Director of Global Sales and has a starting salary of $80k-$125k.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strategy & Program

  • Work closely with branch managers & the Global Branch Operations Manager regarding the reservation and logistics of equipment and facilities.
  • Assist Support Specialists with travel accommodations, scheduling, and resources critical for success.
  • Update/report regularly on industry association activity while delegating applicable contribution efforts where appropriate.
  • Maintain appropriate involvement, attendance, and controlled contributions within pertinent industry associations.
  • Conduct mandatory group meetings & individual tags to ensure team alignment and gather team contributions.
  • Ensure and maintain simple technology and systems for scheduling and availability visibility/communication.
  • Ensure and maintain using simple technology and systems for trip documentation and reporting.
  • Ensure and maintain simple technology and systems for expense logging and management.
  • Ensure that product commission agendas are communicated & executed accurately and inclusive of crucial safety & usage points to both the RSM and client.
  • Work with Support Specialists and Finance to monitor, code, and invoice all post-project expenses.
  • Work with Finance to ensure all project jobs are completed by EOM (End of Month).
  • Rotate travel efforts appropriately to avoid burnout and maintain healthy morale.
  • Strategically pair or group team members/managers for appropriate scenarios/trips/sessions.
  • Responsible for content & curriculum development and maintenance while employing marketing assistance where appropriate.
  • Regularly consider legal risk/protection as varying project scopes occur while collaborating with the StoneAge Contracts & Legal Manager to update, draft, and put into place documents & contracts as standard and case-by-case.
  • Maintain all site & industry association course codes and credentials within LINK/other databases and act as StoneAge’s HASC liaison.
