About the role

Sales at Webasto means selling our products and services with passion and expertise. Our sales team is the first point of contact for our customers, building valuable, long-term, and trusted relationships. In addition to providing personalized advice on all questions related to our products and services, core tasks in Sales include market and competition analysis, as well as the development of short-, medium-, and long-term strategies. Sales is also responsible for acquiring and commercially managing new projects for the company.

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Perform a variety of Sales and technical duties to support the Webasto customer and Technical Service Dealer base by developing and instituting solutions to support these customers’ requirements and improve sales and product performance.  Provide sales to customers, repair and product installation services.

 

This position requires the ability to interact professionally with customers and staff members in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Written and verbal communication skills coupled with a strong sense for creative application design aptitude, prioritizing work and attention to detail are equally important.

 

Candidate will be experienced in all areas of Marine HVAC Sales with additional experience in Marine Electrical troubleshooting and general boat knowledge and etiquette. This person must be well organized, flexible and able to work alone for extended periods of time without direct supervision, primarily at the customer’s site. This position requires candidate/employee to work “from home”, remotely. Employee will perform all duties with the guidance and scheduling of the Marine Service Manager/Supervisor.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Support the sale of Webasto products by delivering exceptional installation, commissioning, and repair field services
Replace existing products with Webasto solutions
Deliver technical training on Webasto products to our customers
Resolve warranty claims and process them through warranty department
Maintain Webasto vehicle, vehicle parts stock and parts warehousing
Travel to support Webasto service and sales activities, including but not limited to: boat shows, service repairs, training sessions, customer support, segment meetings, and assisting Webasto employees
Travel requirements: 60-80% domestic and international

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Equivalent to the completion of high school diploma/GED is required.  2-Year Technical / Vocational School certificate and or 5+ years prior experience with Marine HVAC and Electrical, including sales and application within the North American Marine Industry. Valid driver license for the State in which you reside. Willing and able to travel with short notice. An equivalent combination of education, training or experience that provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

Knowledge and proficiency of:

Technical product and diagnostic knowledge of chillers, HVAC systems, heaters, pumps, and related accessories
Knowledge of 12/24 volt electrical systems
Understanding of 115/230V and single-phase/three-phase electrical systems
Strong customer service and problem diagnostic skills, with experience in developing prototype and application solutions
Proactive problem-solving, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative to develop solutions that effectively serve customers without awaiting instructions
Ability to manage & prioritize multiple tasks and changing responsibilities, and meet deadlines
Ability to communicate important information clearly to customers, colleagues, and supervisors
