Field Service Engineer

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a remote Field Service Engineer based in the US. This role will report directly to the Project Manager and work closely with the greater Sales and Service team. The Field Service Engineer is responsible for visiting various job sites throughout North America troubleshooting issues, installing electromechanical devices that are crucial to the security of airports and other critical infrastructure facilities and will ensure complete delivery of goods and services in a timely manner.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $50,000 - $60,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Schedule site visits and other tasks
• Perform emergency service  
• Write detailed technical reports and keep accurate records for each job site
• Train others to use necessary equipment to perform job ensures proper adherence to safety requirements at facilities  
• Maintain tools and ensure equipment is in good working order

 

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time and able to internationally travel as needed  
• High School diploma
• The ability to gain a security clearance at critical infrastructure and government facilities
• Mechanical Skills with the ability to read complex schematics and wiring
• Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of construction projects
• Knowledge of computer software and hardware
