**The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our HSSEQ department as a Field Health and Safety Inspector.
The role will be an integral part of the Field Health and Safety Team providing assurance of Tranmere and Stanlow’s compliance with HSE legislation, identifying trends, issues, opportunities for improvement and contributing to solutions and their implementation.

Primary Accountabilities:
- Assures that HSE performance across all facets complies with legislation and EOUK policies and field-based aspects of the management system.
- Deliver multimedia training packages and coaching (both day to day and TA related) as required by team lead.
- Support all TA activities especially HSE compliance during the events.
- Undertake all relevant internal/external courses as to be compliant with HSE guidance and regulations.
- Conduct effective Process Safety Field Observations inclusive of partnering with other EOUK and Business Partner staff and effective follow up.
- Review HSE compliance trends and identify opportunities for improvement inclusive of ongoing compliance with HSE legislation
- Support implementation and roll out of HSE related process changes inclusive of behavioural aspects and other department initiatives.
- Identify and report effective safety signals, intervening as appropriate.
- Participate in safety circles and incident investigations as required.
- Support and assist in the health and safety related aspects of TA planning and delivery including risk assessments and the control of workplace hazards.
- Maintains links with the wider HSSEQ team supporting the implementation and on-going effective delivery of core HSSE processes (as outlined in the EO-MS)
- Take a leading role in mentoring the front-line teams and supporting the field based aspects of the EO-MS HSSE processes
- Actively shares best practice.
HSE management:
Responsible for the reviewing of:
- Promote and adopt safe working practices to ensure that self, colleagues, and customers are not put at risk, and that health, safety and the environment are always given the highest priority. This can be done by providing training, conducting safe visits, PSFO’s and occupational hygiene monitoring.
- Responsible for personal and team compliance with Company Health and Safety Policies, ensuring safe working practices to minimise risk to self, work colleagues, customers and staff is minimised in accordance with Essar Oil Management System.
Leadership Accountabilities:
- Assuring HSE standards are being applied, intervening and coaching where required.
- Being able to respond to rapidly changing requirements whilst ensuring delivery of key objectives.
