About this Role

QISG is hiring a Construction Manager to support a $250M, 286MW power generation EPC project.

 

Position Highlights:

  • Long-term project assignment near Midland, TX
  • Initial 2-month training period will be in Eagle Mountain, UT
  • This is a full-time, permanent QISG position with opportunities to transition to future projects after completion
  • Must be willing to work on project site
  • Travel and lodging expenses covered by QISG

What You'll Do

Duties

  • Manage all field office functions including staffing, supplies, equipment, and facilities to support a large construction workforce.
  • Establish and maintain organized filing systems for project documents, drawings, permits, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate travel, logistics, and accommodations for project personnel, contractors, and client visitors.
  • Oversee office budget, petty cash, and expense reporting in coordination with the Project Controls team.
  • Implement and manage the project's document control procedures in accordance with company and owner requirements.
  • Maintain current and accurate distribution of drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Ensure version control and timely distribution of all engineering and construction documents to field teams.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and the project owner's representatives.
  • Facilitate and document project meetings, including weekly progress meetings, safety meetings, and coordination calls.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, action item logs, and project correspondence.
  • Compile and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly project reports including manpower counts, progress updates, and equipment logs.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific administrative requirements, including permitting, labor agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Support HR functions on-site, including onboarding of new hires, timesheet tracking, and coordination with corporate HR.
  • Coordinate with the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) team to maintain site safety records, incident logs, and training documentation.
  • Ensure all personnel complete required site orientations and maintain current certifications on file.
  • Assist in the administration of subcontracts, purchase orders, and material deliveries.
  • Track and process subcontractor invoices, lien waivers, and certified payroll submittals in coordination with the project accountant.

What You'll Bring

Required Experience and Education

  • 7+ years of experience in field office management or construction administration, with at least 3 years on large-scale industrial, energy, or power generation projects.
  • Strong proficiency in document control systems (e.g., Procore, Aconex, SharePoint, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as project demands require.

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Experience on power generation projects (gas-fired, renewable, nuclear, or utility-scale solar/wind).
  • Familiarity with union labor environments and prevailing wage requirements.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project delivery models.
