Duties and Responsibilities

The FHP Project Analyst will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects ensuring consistency with agency strategies, commitments and goals.The FHP Project Analyst will also provide leadership, coaching and guidance to project teams on the use of project management tools and techniques to ensure that departmental policies, procedures, guidelines and best practices are being followed.This individual maintains excellent communication with management, both within and across organizations, to ensure smooth running of all projects undertaken by the Florida Highway Patrol.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to motivate team members
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills
  • Ability to make recommendations after thorough analysis
  • Proficiency in project management principals’ methods, techniques, and tools for effective management of projects from initiation through project closure
  • Proficient using the Microsoft suite of applications and well as other project management tools
  • Knowledge of Law Enforcement management and practices

 

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Facilitating projects to include coordinating assignments requiring the collaboration of multiple individuals and/or cross-functional groups
  • Facilitating meetings and/or making presentations

 

Job Related Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • The position you are applying is subject to a Level 2 background check, along with Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, to include a fingerprint-based check of the criminal records of the FBI, as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes. Please note that, since this position requires CJIS clearance
