Job Description

Role Summary:

The KARAMO show is seeking an ASSOCIATE PRODUCER to assist with all aspects of the show's booking of guests and production of segments.  This is a project/limited term position with an estimated duration of 8 months unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Book compelling guests/stories to appear on the show on a weekly basis
  • Brief guests who will appear on the show while they are in town
  • Communicate with Producers about guests and production needs
  • Work with Production, Legal and Accounting teams in handling all paperwork regarding story
  • Assist Show Producer and delegate to Production Assistants as needed
  • Involvement in all show day procedures including but not limited to proofreading briefs, requesting Show Elements, guest wardrobe
  • Liaise with Production to make sure all expenditures are accounted for and pre-approved
  • Pitch segment ideas to Producers and Senior Staff

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year professional TV experience with a talk show or news program or other relevant entertainment experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and navigating the internet

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in United States
  • Must be able to work in Stamford, CT and remotely
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with Daytime talk
  • Minimum 2 years TV Production experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and previous experience booking guests for television
  • Strong research skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently when necessary
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
