We are looking for you, Head of Logistics Operations, to to join our Sourcing & Trading team in Hutchinston, MN.

You will focus on managing our logistics teams and assets accross US.  This consists of our Transload sites (leased and operated), our Trucking company Sterling, our rail fleet and our dispatch team. In this job you will work closely with our trading and finance team to ensure adequate business planning and execution & with HSE team to ensure safe operations.

The compensation for this position is structured within a base pay range of USD $135,000 to $180,000 annually.  The exact offer extended to a successful candidate will be determined by a comprehensive evaluation of their job-related knowledge, demonstrated skills, and depth of experience relevant to the requirements of the position factoring in geographic location.

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

 

• • Managing the local organizational structure of Sterling Trucking and the Neste Dispatch team

  • Develop and execute the sourcing strategy for Sterling Trucking (new equipment, spare parts, maintenance)

  • Develop and manage the maintenance plan, investments and budget to ensure the Neste standards and principles are followed

  • Develop and execute the sourcing strategy for 3rd party transload sites in line with Land Logistics guidance and manage these relationships

  • Manage the operated Transload sites of Omaha, Hector, and Sioux City to ensure best practices are being followed

  • Oversee Railroad and Railcar Lessor Relationships

 

Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role

 

• Bachelor's or Master’s in relevant field (commercial, logistics, supply chain)

• Experience in transporting liquid bulk on road and / or rail and / or as multimodal

• Experience in managing people and organizations, commercial negotiation experience

• Experience in Renewable Feedstock and Trading

• Strong people leadership and commercial negotiation skills
