We employ 25,000 people globally, more than half located in Asia Pacific.</p><p></p><p><b>Role Overview:</b></p><p></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join a highly collaborative, agile team responsible for development and maintenance of a number of Primary Markets applications in LSEG Capital Markets division.</p><p></p><p><b>Main Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><span>In this role, you'll be joining our Primary Markets Application Services team within the Capital Markets Division as a Lead DevOps Engineer.</span></li><li><span>The team maintains systems running on AWS ensuring their availability and resiliency through DevOps standard methodologies.</span></li><li><span>You will work in a development pod/team and will be helping maintain DevOps culture through the application of the DevOps pillars.</span></li><li><span>The role includes elements of CI/CD and deployment automation, security, systems design for <span>resilience/scalability,operational</span> automation, monitoring, you will own DevOps for your pod.</span></li><li><span>The role also includes Level 2 systems support. You will be expected to be periodically available on-call out of office hours. There will also be an element of weekend work. </span></li><li><span>Helping to advise on the work of a small team of DevOps Engineers.​</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Skills:</b></p><ul><li><span>Proven experience in AWS</span></li><li><span>Ability to assess complex system requirements to produce implementation designs </span></li><li><span>Understanding of git concepts, CI/CD, release strategy, branching strategy, and development/release pipelines.​</span></li><li><span>Exceptional knowledge of terraform ​</span></li><li><span>Experience with Unix and Windows environments.</span></li><li><span>Experience supporting business critical software system ​</span></li><li><span>Ability to work with teams to assist and guide them on deployment practices, while implementing improvements to enable further automation of deployments.​</span></li><li><span>Ability to communicate effectively​ with all levels of staff, both orally and written​</span></li><li><span>Ability to handle own work and multitask to meet tight deadlines without losing sight of priorities under minimum supervision.​</span></li><li><span>Previous experience leading and mentoring technical staff.<br/>​</span></li></ul><p><b>Preferred Skills &amp; Experience:</b></p><ul><li><span>Modern tooling experience, e.g. Ansible, Terraform, DataDog, Jenkins/Cloudbees, GitLab, ServiceNow (or similar)</span></li><li><span>Source and versioning control with tools like GIT, Bitbucket, Nexus, Artifactory.</span></li><li><span>Strong solving skills and ability to identify the root cause of issues.</span></li><li><span>Networking issue diagnostic experience.</span></li><li><span>AWS <span>Developer/Sysops/DevOps</span> accreditation.</span></li><li><span>Can work independently and in a team environment.</span></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Benefits</b>:</p><p></p><p>We are looking for intellectually curious people, passionate about the bigger picture of how technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios!
