What You’ll do
As the Website Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the administrative aspects of our E-commerce software. Your primary responsibility will revolve around the upkeep and enhancement of our e-commerce systems, focusing on our HCL website platform and IBM Sterling OMS.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of our e-commerce systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Manage WebSphere and other server technologies to ensure smooth operation and performance optimization.
- Conduct routine checks and updates to maintain system integrity and stability.
- Maintain Gsuite software like Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, etc.
- Regularly update and manage website content, including product listings, descriptions, images, and promotional banners.
- Optimize website content and layout to improve user experience and conversion rates.
- Utilize SEO strategies and tools to enhance website visibility and search engine rankings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and IT, to implement new features and functionalities aligned with business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful implementation of website changes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to the website and e-commerce systems promptly.
- Address user-reported problems, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to the user experience.
- Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
- Escalate issues to the proper resources for efficient resolution.
- Maintain security protocols to safeguard customer data and prevent security breaches.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and take proactive measures to address them.
- Monitor website performance metrics, such as traffic, conversion rates, and user engagement.
- Generate reports detailing key performance indicators and provide insights for improvement.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in website functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Recommend and implement solutions to enhance site usability, load times, and overall performance.
- Create and maintain documentation for website processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on website usage, best practices, and updates.

Essential Qualities for Success
- At least 5 years of Website Administration, WebMaster, or similar experience and bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proficiency in managing e-commerce platforms, specifically HCL and IBM Sterling OMS.
- Strong background and understanding of WebSphere.
- Certifications in HCL Commerce, AWS, and IBM Sterling OMS.
- Experience in leading requirements-gathering workshops and translating them into technical solutions.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and AWS
- Proficiency in performance monitoring and optimization tools.
- Background in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of web development, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and website analytics tools
