On our team, you will serve as the Principal/Director leading the Legal, Ethics, and Compliance (LEC) Department’s Investigations team. In this role, you will lead our team of experienced attorneys and investigators who are responsible for investigating potential violations of Booz Allen’s policies, Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, or the law, analyzing associated risks and root causes, and advising on remedial actions, disclosure to regulators, and control or program enhancements, as appropriate. The Investigations team also plays a critical role in responding to external investigations, identifying key risk indicators and trends, and providing advice and training to the business on compliance and risk related topics.

As the Investigations team lead, you will bring thought leadership, strategic thinking, deep experience in corporate investigations, and a continuous improvement mindset. You will build trusted partnerships across the firm and collaborate with colleagues in LEC to advise on and help the company navigate complex and sensitive issues. Under your leadership, the Investigations team will enable the company to effectively identify and mitigate compliance and reputational risks, prevent recurrence, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Guided by Booz Allen’s purpose and values, together we’ll anticipate and proactively prepare for the issues we’ll encounter tomorrow.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience conducting corporate investigations in an in-house environment, a federal government agency, or at a law firm

  • Experience supervising the work of attorneys, investigators, or paralegals

  • Experience briefing, advising, and providing strategic guidance to senior leaders

  • Experience with data analytics, identifying key risk indicators, and advising on emerging trends

  • Ability to build relationships and act as a trusted advisor to the business

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple complex matters simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to translate technical advice into succinct, clear, and pragmatic verbal and written guidance for business partners

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • J.D. degree and active admission to at least one state bar

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience investigating or providing counsel on procurement integrity and False Claims Act issues and other laws affecting government contractors, including those related to contractor integrity, data breaches, data protection, competition, obligations of cleared personnel, and overall integrity and business ethics

  • Experience reviewing and advising on global corporate compliance programs

  • Top Secret clearance
