Database Developer

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, one of the world's premier dance institutions, is seeking an experienced Database Developer. In addition to the technical requirements listed below, the candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work with users of varied skill levels. This position will report to the Director of Information Technology.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create and maintain software solutions across various departments
Manage Ailey’s data warehouse and ETL software, custom Salesforce applications, and web service integrations
Create reports for several business units
Support other applications, such as Ailey’s financial and school management software
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of SQL, including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
Extensive experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java,
C#, Python, Ruby or other language)

Additional Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Knowledge of Salesforce database administration, Apex and SOQL programming languages
Microsoft SQL Server administration
Microsoft PowerShell
Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS)
Web application development/JavaScript
ASP.NET Web Services
Microsoft PowerBI or other business intelligence/data analysis tools
Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with Blackbaud products (Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, Education Edge)
and Crystal Reports a plus
Experience/Education:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a DBA and/or developer role
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Computer Science degree a plus but not required
