About the role

Job Summary:

As the Director of Innovation, you will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology solutions into our core business processes. Your expertise in data analytics and artificial intelligence will be pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights, optimizing pipeline operations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies that leverage data analytics and artificial intelligence to improve decision-making and operational performance.
  • Acts as a thought-leader, driving digital innovation and influencing strategic technology direction (e.g., Cloud migration, dev/ops, advanced analytics/ artificial intelligence, and agile ways of working, etc.).
  • Assesses digital footprint, developing short and long-term plans for improvements. Develops and delivers proposals and recommendations that drive understanding and buy-in for digital investments.
  • Facilitates alignment of technology / digital initiatives and strategies with broader business priorities and opportunities through engagement and collaboration.
  • Acts as a liaison and develops effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. - Demonstrates effectiveness in problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset as it relates to managing technology risk and optimizing operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technology integration that aligns with business objectives.
  • Oversee the management of data analytics platforms and AI systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and machine learning models to predict trends, optimize workflows, and mitigate risks.
  • Establish a framework for evaluating new technologies and their potential impact on the business.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by mentoring team members and encouraging creative problem-solving.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver technology solutions that provide a competitive edge.
  • Accountable for the implementation of the enterprise-wide AI strategy that aligns with the business goals and objective.
  • Provide guidance on governance procedures on AI.
  • Establish partnerships with external vendors, research institutions and associations to enhance WES role in leveraging AI.
  • Ensure data privacy and security are maintained while implementing AI, /landscape.
  • Provide leadership to teams of teams of AI professionals and provide mentorship and guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technology leadership role, with a proven track record in data analytics and artificial intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of mid-stream pipeline operations and the energy sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex business technology solutions.
  • Proficient in data analytics tools, AI algorithms, and machine learning techniques.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and drive change.
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven track record of delivering innovative, game-changing business solutions

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
