YOU

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving the company’s financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. You will partner with Senior Leaders on department spending, budgeting and forecasting, to support strategic business initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Analysis (50%)

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create accurate budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Regularly update financial forecasts, providing insights into potential risks and opportunities.
  • Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between planned and actual project expenses.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance financial performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development teams on accurate new product costing and product launch financial analyses.
  • Assist in scenario planning, cost-benefit analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis projects.
  • Perform analyses using SAP, BI and BW, and develop models for special projects as necessary.

Reporting (50%)

  • Responsible for monthly financial reporting to Senior Leadership.
  • Ensure timely deliverables to all customers (internal and external).
  • Perform Ad hoc reporting and analytics using Business Planning & Consolidations (BPC), Business Warehouse / Intelligence (BW / BI), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other data reporting tools.
  • Perform other duties as required.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Accounting and Analytic Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in SAP
  • S/4HANA a plus
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in Excel (Advanced)
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency with other MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Business Objects with experience in creating specialized ad hoc reports
  • BPC knowledge a plus
  • SAC knowledge a plus
  • Driven and prepared to take a hands-on and proactive approach to work
  • Position demands critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to have the highest standards of accuracy and precision. Ability to identify options for solving a problem and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses
  • Ability to work collaboratively, partner and support other functions. Ability to operate in a diverse, global environment

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires up to 10% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This is a full-time, exempt position. This job will be based in our Pleasanton CA or Plano, TX home office, with the option to work from home some of the time.
