This position will require in-office attendance of 4 days/week.
The Sr. IT Support Engineer will serve as a technical expert and primary point-of-escalation for a wide range of IT domains. This role is responsible for supporting internal end-users across hardware, software, operating systems, network services, security tools, and cloud platforms, as well as collaborating with the broader IT team to ensure scalable and efficient processes. The Sr. IT Support Engineer will troubleshoot advanced problems, assist with identity and access management, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and help maintain compliance with security and audit requirements.
In addition, this position will develop and maintain documentation of processes and policies, drive the collection and reporting of relevant support metrics, and provide hands-on resolution for escalated issues. Due to the breadth of the role, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various IT systems, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work effectively with end-users and technical stakeholders alike.
In this role, you will:
- Provide Advanced User Support
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
- Troubleshoot advanced problems quickly, communicate effectively with end-users, and ensure minimal disruption.
- Manage IT Assets
- Assist with the purchasing, tracking, inventory, patching, and decommission of devices and other IT assets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in asset management systems.
- Develop and Report Metrics
- Contribute to the creation and analysis of key support metrics for the internal support function.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to streamline workflows and reduce recurring incidents.
- Collaborate with IT Leadership
- Work closely with the Technology leadership team to align user support functions with broader IT infrastructure goals.
- Provide input on technology selection, procurement processes, and ongoing improvements to the support ecosystem.
- Assist with Onboarding/Off-boarding
- Collaborate with the IAM Team to provision and deprovision end-user assets, including system access and data permissions.
- Ensure a seamless experience for new hires and departing employees.
- Support Compliance and Audits
- Assist with due diligence and audit requests related to internal IT infrastructure as needed.
