Position Summary:
Your Impact (Essential Duties):
- Prepare and review U.S. federal and state tax returns for inbound international clients, including Forms 1120, 5472, 1042, and related disclosures
- Identify and apply appropriate inbound international tax strategies, including ECI vs. FDAP treatment, treaty positions, and branch profits tax
- Conduct research and analysis of complex inbound tax issues, providing technical guidance and practical solutions
- Assist with cross-border transaction structuring and advisory for nonresident investors and foreign-owned U.S. entities
- Support IRS audits and inquiries related to international tax compliance
- Collaborate with team members across tax and advisory lines to deliver coordinated client service
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns, particularly on international matters
- Maintain client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to service excellence
- Stay current with U.S. international tax law developments and share knowledge with peers
- Ensure accurate and complete reporting, identifying and communicating missing data or inconsistencies
- Contribute to firm growth through internal initiatives, client service innovation, and team collaboration
- Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity
- Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership
Your Background:
- 5–10 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on U.S. inbound international taxation
- CPA license or eligible
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax rules, including ECI/FDAP, treaty analysis, and reporting requirements
- Ability to adapt to tax law changes and provide strategic tax planning
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and related tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial and tax work
- Analytical skills to address and resolve complex tax issues
- Full-time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines
