Our team offers first-shift, Monday through Friday schedules (includes two 15-minute unpaid breaks and one paid 30-minute lunch). Casual work attire is fine – jeans are our norm!

Responsibilities

The Central Business Office Collections Supervisor supervises daily activity and reporting of productivity and other key metrics for team members within assigned job function(s) in the CBO. Be a liaison between other departments and management team to allow best communication of reimbursement policies, procedures, and resolutions to issues causing delays to cash and accounts receivable management.

 

 Functions:

  • Hire, train, and develop department personnel in conjunction with Company objectives.
  • Work with CBO manager in recommending, counseling, and coaching for improved performance. Conducts performance appraisals and suggests appropriate actions and monitor improvements in assigned job functions.
  • Manage the daily workflow of and provide expertise and team leadership for the assigned CBO functions.
  • Oversee daily reporting of productivity and other key metrics for team members within assigned job functions. Understand and inform members of team on quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily performance targets.
  • Distribute work among members of the team and coordinate re-distribution as necessary.
  • Maintain global knowledge of all functions and processes within the CBO. Communicate and train team members on procedures and policies set by Director of Patient Accounting and CBO Manager.
  • Liaison between team members and management for policy, procedures, and processing issues/inquiries. Represent job function in monthly meetings.
  • Ensure appropriate processes are followed with regard to collections procedures.
  • Provide feedback to other members of the management team with regard to the effectiveness of scanning and documenting items in the service queue.
  • Negotiate compromises with attorneys on litigated cases.
  • Approve patient account write offs, refund &/or financial hardship requests per CBO guidelines.
  • Work directly with payor relations representatives to identify and resolve specific payor issues.
  • Ensure compliance of procedures for data integrity, continuous cash flow and improved customer service in relation to HIPAA compliance.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum three to five years in a high volume reimbursement environment required.

Preferred:

  • Minimum three to five years training experience preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in business administration or accounting OR equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift.
  • Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including10-key) throughout a work day/shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics.
  • Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs.
