This role is ideal for students with a keen interest in analytical thinking and a proactive, independent mindset to support our international trade compliance team.  This role offers hands-on experience in global trade compliance, customs regulations, and export/import procedures while working alongside experienced professionals in the field. The International Trade Compliance team is a vital part of SPI, ensuring our global operations comply with sanctions, embargoes, and export control and customs regulations.

How you will make an impact:

• Assist in data migration/import of product classifications to database platforms
• Assist in maintaining trade compliance databases and filing systems
• Support the classification of products for customs purposes
• Assist in preparing trade compliance reports and analysis
• Laise with key internal stakeholders and support when required
• Assist the Trade Compliance team with reviewing, analyzing, and processing international trade documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support trade compliance processes, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the efficiency of global operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Team-driven, yet able to be an independent thinker who can work effectively without constant supervision
• Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
• Enthusiastic about learning and working with trade compliance professionals in the US and abroad
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits

The compensation for this position will be $24.00 for Juniors & $25.00 for Seniors.
