KATZ School of Business - Adjunct Faculty- CIS 360/MK 365 Web Development II (Remote within the State of Colorado is Possible)

Position Summary:

Adjunct Faculty member for the Katz School of Business Administration and will teach The class is CIS 360/MK 365 Web Development II Adjunct instructors are responsible for teaching 3 credits per course in a specific discipline (i.e. Business, Science, Math, Music, Theater, etc… ) These are temporary, non-benefited, one-semester

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of an Adjunct Instructor:

• Teach CIS 360/MK 365 Web Development II  course either online or in-person
• Promptly assess student work, providing specific and actionable feedback.
• Adapt instruction based on students’ needs while maintaining high expectations.
• Continuously improve instruction to ensure Student Learning Outcomes are met.
• Maintain competency and currency in your professional field.
• Follow all college policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with others, utilizing a collegial style in all forms of communication.
• Maintain knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508
• Produce and remediate digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education, Specialized Skills, and Experience:

• Master’s Degree or another advanced degree in your professional field
• Ability to teach courses within the particular discipline as needed
• Demonstrated teaching excellence at the College or University Level.
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities

Preferred Education, Specialized Skills and Experience:

• Ph.D., JD, MFA, or another terminal degree in your discipline
• Demonstrated success working in a diverse student environment
• Professional experience outside of academia
• Online teaching experience

Reports To / Supervisory Responsibility:

Adjunct Faculty report the department chair

FLSA Status/ Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Part Time (1-2 courses per Semester)    <.5FTE
• Temporary
• One-semester position (Renewable)
• Typical work hours are 8 to 5 pm Monday through Friday

Salary

The salary for this course is $5,000 per semester credit taught
