About the role

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs in the Administration and Divisional Operations unit, the Executive Assistant provides administrative, operational and strategic support to the Vice President. The incumbent manages the administrative functions of the Vice President’s office and provides lead work direction to the administrative staff while demonstrating strong executive presence, sound judgment, and a deep understanding of divisional and institutional priorities.

Department Summary

The Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (VP) serves as a senior university leader responsible for advancing institutional priorities related to enrollment strategy, student success, and the holistic student experience. The division includes approximately 35 departments and 500 employees and plays a critical role in shaping the student lifecycle from recruitment through graduation.

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise providing executive-level administrative support and serving as a professional representative of a senior leadership office.
  • Thorough knowledge of executive office operations, administrative practices, organizational protocols, and business communication principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and align work with divisional, institutional, and executive leadership priorities, exercising independent judgment in responding to requests and inquiries.
  • Thorough knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Affairs programs, university infrastructure, governance processes, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and time-management skills with the ability to independently coordinate multiple complex assignments, establish priorities, meet competing deadlines, and successfully manage a high-volume workload in a dynamic environment.

Education and Experience

  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in related field and four years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $81,504 - $99,348 Per Year

Classification Range: $69,564 - $101,340 Per Year

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
