Leads small projects with less visibility or corporate priority. Budgets are smaller, typically less than $5 million. With guidance, may participate in negotiations with internal or external clients; assisting with the development of business plans, strategies and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities. May manage vendor relationships including conducting planning session with vendors and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations. Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on professional knowledge and background. Salary Range: 53,000.00-$72,000.00

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager Assistant to support the successful execution of manufacturing projects. This role will provide direct assistance to the Project Manager in coordinating tasks, supervising project activities, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with zero recordable incidents or injuries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working across departments to drive project success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and tracking project milestones and deliverables.
- Provide on-site supervision and support to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, safety, and engineering.
- Monitor project budgets and report variances or concerns to the Project Manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including progress reports, safety records, and change orders.
- Support the implementation of safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Help identify and resolve project-related issues to minimize delays and disruptions.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Serve as a liaison between the Project Manager and field teams to ensure clear communication and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial project support role.
- Strong understanding of project coordination, safety standards, and budgeting principles.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (
