Instructional Design, Partner Enablement Services

This position reports to: Partner Enablement Services – Learning Content Services Sr. Manager

As an Instructional Designer in Partner Enablement, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and launching digital enablement strategies for the ServiceNow partner ecosystem.  Your instructional priorities include driving sales and technical sales skills development and best practices for how partners should drive customer renewals & expansions.

The ideal candidate will possess creativity, world-class design skills, and expertise in adult learning theories, and be able to make learning engaging, effective, and memorable.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Guide the Intake and Needs Assessment Process for new digital learning journeys, including writing outlines and learning objectives.
  • Interview internal Subject Matter Experts and ensure content and assessments address key content areas.
  • Manage projects including timelines, development costs, content and assessment development, audio and video recording/editing, and digitizing media.
  • Create compelling and interactive learning activities and knowledge checks that enhance retention.
  • Publicize newly released training content via internal and external marketing channels.
  • Define ongoing assessment strategy, formulate appropriate questions, and execute continual evaluation of learners.
  • Assess and measure the Return on Investment (ROI) of learning initiatives in terms of performance gains and business impact. Identify opportunities for improving learning outcomes through enhanced design and delivery.
  • Travel up to 20% (worldwide) per year.

 

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who:

  • Possesses 2-3 years sales, pre-sales, and technical training experience, specifically in an instructional design role.
  • Worked successfully in a partner-oriented organization and/or function.  
  • Has a high performance, growth-mindset attitude that results in flexibility, creativity, and wiliness to work independently by displaying dependability and accountability of meeting deadlines and contributing to problem solving.
  • Incorporates measurement and assessments into all learning content.
  • Constructs quality content for training based on industry design standards, processes, and incorporating user and stakeholder feedback.
  • Utilizes effective project management techniques to organize training projects and to ensure quality.
  • Communicates to stakeholders and team members with articulate and detailed presentations and ability to effectively lead productive meetings.
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
