We’re looking for an amazing Senior Manager, UX & Design to fill this role, which is based in our Fort Lauderdale office. You’ll be responsible for responsible for articulating the UX north star and driving towards an intuitive and user-centered vision for the next generation of the app and princess.com in support of its rapidly growing eCommerce business. You’ll lead a globally dispersed team of UX/UI designers guiding and inspire them to follow UX best practices, find efficiencies (i.e. leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies) and develop a best-in-class user experience. You’ll leverage user research, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and advocate for the user throughout the product development process. Here’s a summary of what Princess is looking for in its Senior Manager, UX & Design. Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision: Stay current with trends and UX best practices.  Establish and articulate the north star vision for a best-in-class app and online experience.  Brainstorm, innovate, define, refine while advancing the design strategy.  This role will deliver at the intersection of frictionless design, compelling user experience, and business value. S/he is a data driven decision maker informed by qualitative and quantitative research, including A/B Testing and user-feedback. This leader will synthesize ideas from multiple sources and across industries and geographies to identify UX needs and opportunities. S/he will include industry trends, emerging technologies, quantitative consumer insights, qualitative customer research, customer behavior analytics and feedback, future trends, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and inform IA, UX and visual design. The scope of the role includes all aspects of the eCommerce experience – including brochure/content pages, vacation smart search, cruise purchase, amend, pre-cruise order and onboard app.   
  • Design Excellence: Collaboratively establish a robust design system, strategy, adoption and process.  This includes brainstorming, research, analytics, creating and refining user personas, journey maps, site flows wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.  The output includes designing scalable, dependable, extensible, and maintainable user experience frameworks and roadmaps with consistency across different products and platforms.
  • Direct UX Agency: Communicate our business goals and user needs to the agency, draft agency brief, ensure alignment with our company's design ethos. Align on prioritization, timelines, rounds of reviews and collecting constructive feedback on the agency's work, ensuring it meets our standards for usability, accessibility, and design excellence.
  • Collaboration & Communication:  Guide, develop and mentor UX Managers, Senior Designers and contractors holding them accountable to high standards and delivering excellence.  Recruit, onboard, train and provide continuous coaching fostering their growth and promoting a culture of continuous learning within the team. Collaborate with stakeholders and partners (marketing, commercial, analytics, onboard revenue, tech teams, etc).  Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into practical design solutions. This leader will need to demonstrate superior communication skills, as they'll often be required to present and defend their design choices at the executive level. 
  • Promote User-Centric Design: Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, ensuring their needs and experiences remain central to all design and development efforts. Clearly articulate design choices to stakeholders, grounding these decisions in user research data and UX principles.  Conduct various forms of user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.  Perform usability testing and analyze feedback to iterate and improve designs.  Leverage experience platform intel to inform product roadmap.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Human Factors, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI),  User Experience (UX) Design, Prefer Master's degree in similar fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in UX design. 
  • 10+ years leading researchers, UX/UI designers with 2 or more
