About the Role:
This senior level position oversees the management of CrowdStrike’s US and Canada time-off, leave of absence, and ADA interactive process and reasonable accommodations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and company policies. The role requires exemplary concierge support for employees and managers while serving as the subject matter expert to internal partners and external vendors during the full leave cycle and ADA interactive process. As a leader, you will strategize enhancements to these processes, mentor team members, and liaise with senior management to uphold best practices and foster a supportive workplace environment. What You'll Do:
Consulting and Case Management:
White-glove support, guidance, coordination for CrowdStrikers, internal stakeholders and management, and the vendor from start to end as it relates to the interactive process, reasonable accommodations, and leaves of absence
Represent CrowdStrike before government agencies or external parties as needed
Develop and deliver manager training in collaboration with legal, HR Business Partners, and other appropriate stakeholders
Facilitate the interactive process with the ADA vendor, managers, HR Business Partner, and other stakeholders for reasonable accommodation requests
Serve as mentor and subject matter expert in the areas of leaves and accommodations for other HR team members and peers
Prioritize workload to ensure legal compliance and responsive customer service while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion
Administration:
Proactively partner with third-party administrator to ensure open cases for leaves of absence and/or ADA accommodations are managed timely in accordance with applicable government regulations, laws, company policies and processes
Proactively and continuously identify and implement process improvements along with program automation to scale with the company’s growth
Create detailed documentation of the Leave of Absence and Accommodation programs and processes
Vendor management, from improving the day-to-day operational process to resolving challenges related to vendor contracts, process and procedures, and complex leave claim issues
Create and deliver routine and ad-hoc reporting; highlighting program utilization, trends, and future focus areas
Identify and develop solutions to address issues and trends in employee absences
Partner with the lead of the US health and welfare program and the Employee Experience team to identify opportunities to promote employee wellbeing
Partner with the Director of Insurance on the workers compensation policy, renewal, and claims
U.S. Time-Off, International Leaves and Special Projects:
Manage leaves and accommodations for Canada
Lead for the U.S. Time-Off, including our Flex Time Away, PTO, and other time-off benefits
Support in the process improvement of global leaves, as needed
Lead the request-for-proposal and special projects, as needed
What You'll Need:
15+ years relevant experience, working with complex disability, leaves, and accommodations
10+ years of experience in vendor and project management, predominantly acquired in recent roles
5+ years of working knowledge of Canada disability and accommodation laws.
J.D. degree or equivalent legal training preferred
Experience with international leaves (beyond Canada) is a plus
Deep understanding and application of U.S. federal and state disability and leave laws (i.e., ADA, FMLA, CFRA, FEHA, PDL, etc.)
Experience successfully handling complex leave scenarios, including but not limited to representing your company in legal proceedings related to time off and/or leaves
