Unit Associate Med/Surg Acute 1 (Per Diem, Variable Shift)

<p>Centrally located within the heart of California, Adventist Health Tulare has been serving the Central Valley since 2018. We are comprised of a 108-bed acute care hospital, emergency department and provide primary and specialty care services to best serve our community. Tulare is situated in a delightful and geographically diverse region. It is also within an hour's travel time to Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. In addition to the beautiful landscape, it also offers a great cost of living and close-knit communities.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Performs a variety of duties connected with cardiac rhythms displayed monitor screens. Reads, interprets, and relays pertinent information regarding the cardiac monitors to the appropriate personnel. Provides clerical support.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <div> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required</li> <li>Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred</li> </ul> </div> <div> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required</li> </ul> </div> <div> <p>Facility Specific License/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required</li> </ul> </div> <div> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Monitors electrocardiogram continuously, identifies and interprets cardiac rhythms, documents arrhythmia and reports significant changes to nursing staff.</li> <li>Supports the unit monitoring and evaluation process to improve patient outcome. Provides frontline electronic medical record order entry support for physicians and staff.</li> <li>Monitors electronic medical records throughout the day and addresses concerns with the registered nurse as necessary.</li> <li>Assists with admission and discharge process.
