St. Bernadette Parish School seeks an 8th grade homeroom and middle school literature and language arts teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
St. Bernadette Parish School, located in Burien, serves 190 students in grades Preschool � 8th grade. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for language arts and literature classes.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, assessments, and reports.
- Foster a positive and engaging classroom and middle school environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success.
- Incorporate technology and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student performance and attendance.
- Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies.
- With the Administrative Team, organize graduation and ancillary end-of-year activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license for middle school education.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
- Strong understanding of middle school English curriculum and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary range: $49,145- $74, 820 Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
