A role at Target Printing Services (TPS) means becoming part of a dynamic team that drives the strategy of internal partners such as Marketing and Store Operations through print and kitting projects.  The TPS team has a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to planning, press, fulfillment and distribution, enabling us to positively impact guest and team member experiences while embodying Target’s core values.  

 

As Print Designer for Target Printing Services, you work in close partnership with Account Managers, Project Managers, Project Planners, and internal customers to translate vision and requirements into production-ready print designs. This role develops creative concepts, prototypes, mockups, and technical design files that enable efficient planning, accurate execution, and on-time delivery across a multi-shift production environment. The Designer operates with a high degree of autonomy and is accountable for design quality, file integrity, and production readiness across assigned work. 

Responsibilities 

Design & Production Readiness 

  • Develop creative and technical design solutions for retail signage and print applications across a variety of substrates and constructions. 

  • Focus on small-format print and structural design, primarily flat pieces, with limited 3-dimensional applications and occasional large-format work at a small scale. 

  • Partner with Account Managers to understand customer vision, objectives, and brand standards. 

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Planners to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and executable within TPS capabilities. 

  • Create digital design mockups, layouts, and visual concepts using industry-standard tools (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and others). 

  • Lead hands-on prototyping, test runs, and design validation, incorporating feedback from Planning and Production teams. 

  • Serve as the gatekeeper for in-hous
