About the Role: The Account Manager is a crucial role responsible for managing the relationship between Dataprise and its customers and prospects, developing and driving sales opportunities, and continually achieving revenue goals. A qualified AM is expected to develop business opportunities and maintain active ones from an assigned territory. An AM will establish a cadence of onsite and remote customer and prospect meetings, as well as recurring meetings with Dataprise internal teams to ensure all account activities are prioritized and in the best interest of the customer.

What You’ll Do:
- Drive sales opportunities throughout the sales cycle and continually achieves revenue goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate to an assigned set of Dataprise customers by building relationships based on communication, respect, and trust.
- Ensure at least 80% of their assigned customer base (by revenue) remains in an active contract with Dataprise.
- Develop new opportunities in existing portfolio by studying customers’ business and industry, interviewing key customer personnel, informing customer of Dataprise’s suite of services, anticipating customer needs, and identifying additional needs to expand services (i.e., cross-selling).
- Close sales by creating and delivering sales presentations, establishing a timeline for decision, overcoming objections, and negotiating contracts.
- Coordinate and host reoccurring customer meetings based on a defined customer activity matrix, which includes but is not limited to technology alignment reviews and service level agreement reporting.
- Prospect and qualify new customers in the small business market from self and company generated leads, resulting in new recurring, project, and product revenue. The priority focus is still on the existing portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate customer need fulfillment.
- Perform daily opportunity queue management to ensure compliance with company business development projection standards, including but not limited to opportunity status, close date, close percentage, and revenue approximation.
- Create plans and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members and stakeholders, and to use as case studies.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
- Work to enhance the Account Management department and Dataprise’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
What Skills & Experience You’ll Need:
- Several years of business development and/or account management experience with a proven record of exceeding sales quota.
- Sales experience/familiarity with IT terminology (in particular, Microsoft technologies) and ability to translate into non-technical terms highly preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement in making decisions that impact the organization.
- Proven success building existing and new business relationships (interacting with C-level management).
