About the Role

Do you have hands-on experience developing distributed systems, working with Azure cloud infrastructure, and a passion for building secure and high-performance APIs? What You Will Do:

• Design backend architecture and implement scalable systems and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to develop secure and reliable features that deliver real customer value.
• Take ownership of backend components, ensuring they are performant, maintainable, and aligned with architectural standards.
• Contribute to design discussions, technical planning, and system architecture decisions across projects.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to ensure efficient data storage, access, and integrity.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability for backend systems.
• Contribute to the evolution of internal tools and libraries to promote reusability and consistency across services.
• Embrace infrastructure as code and containerization to streamline deployments and environment management.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and engineering best practices.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, helping grow the team’s technical strength and collaboration.
• Leverage generative AI and automation tools to enhance development efficiency, testing, and documentation.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong command of C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of backend system architecture — including service design, data modeling, scalability, and API design (REST and/or GraphQL).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and familiarity with NoSQL solutions.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services, including containerized deployments using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong testing mindset with experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and agile development practices.
• Experience with secure coding practices and building resilient systems.
• Ability to take initiative in unclear situations — comfortable making decisions and driving development forward when specifications are incomplete or evolving.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts clearly.
• Interest or experience in leveraging generative AI in development workflows.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

What We See as a Plus:

• Experience with event-driven systems and message queues (e.g., Azure Service Bus is preferred; Kafka, RabbitMQ are a plus).
• Exposure to microservices and service mesh architectures.
• Experience with observability tools such as Azure Application Insights or New Relic for monitoring, tracing, and diagnostics.
• Experience with domain-driven design (DDD) or clean architecture.
• Comfort working across the stack — experience with React and TypeScript is a plus.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and DevOps tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
