Role Summary: 

Supports all event documentation and coordinates with sales, property departments  (Facilities) and customer to ensure consistent, high level service throughout the planning, event and post-event phases of Google events. This position primarily handles complex events, including global summits, high level conventions to receptions and ensures a seamless transition from sales to service. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Supports and acts on behalf of the Director of Catering. Serves as the meeting planner's primary contact (following turnover) on property and is responsible for their experience. 

Supports coordination all aspects of conferences and convention services to include but not limited to: food and beverage requirements, effective meeting space usage, assist with audio-visual requirements, function room set up, assist with group transportation, billing, box storage and delivery, power requirements, expected food and beverage outlet usage, business center requirements, entertainment, leisure activities, decor requirements. 

The great things you will be expected to do: 

  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations.

  • Administratively supports

  • The planning, execution of events 

  • Communications with all group specifications and history to the appropriate department. 

  • Forecasting of group catering revenues according to established guidelines.

  • Planning of agendas, and services according to client requirements and established guidelines. 

  • Meetings, Site Inspections and Pre-Convention Meetings

  • Managing Event Logistics and Operations 

  • Accounting with billing process by providing updated estimates

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience 

  • Has a minimum of 2 years food service operation supervision experience 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 

  • Strong passion for great food and hospitality 

  • General culinary knowledge of basic kitchen practices, protocols and procedures

  • Manages time effectively and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines 

  • Ability to follow all Health & Safety standards 

  • Demonstrates good judgement and decision making skills
