About the role

Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Field Communications and Workforce Management will lead the strategy and execution of all field communications, partnering across the organization to align initiatives between SC and field operations. This role serves as a key business owner for the Workforce Management implementation project from early development to ongoing training and enhancements. The Sr. Director organizes, prepares and leads cross-functional meetings as needed, and manages direct report(s) to ensure alignment and operational excellence.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead Field Communication Strategy
    • Define and execute the overall strategy for field communications in partnership with the VP of Operations.
    • Ensure messaging aligns with organizational priorities and brand standards.
  • Approve and Oversee Communication Deliverables
    • Review and approve all field communications and the monthly Field Playbook.
    • Maintain quality, clarity, and timeliness of content.
  • Serve as Business Owner for Workforce Management (WFM) Implementation
    • Drive WFM project from initial development through deployment.
    • Oversee ongoing training, adoption, and system enhancements.
  • Partner Across the Organization
    • Collaborate with SC and field leadership to align strategies and initiatives.
    • Facilitate cross-functional communication and decision-making.
  • Lead and Organize Cross-Functional Meetings
    • Prepare agendas, materials, and presentations for key meetings.
    • Ensure follow-up actions are documented and executed.
  • Manage and Develop Direct Reports
    • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Monitor and Improve Communication Effectiveness
    • Analyze feedback and engagement metrics to optimize communication strategies.
    • Implement improvements based on insights and best practices.
  • Ensure Compliance and Consistency
    • Maintain adherence to organizational standards and policies in all communications.
    • Establish and enforce templates and guidelines.
  • Oversee Content Calendar and Delivery Timelines
    • Manage scheduling for communication deliverables and WFM milestones.
    • Coordinate timing with business priorities and field needs.
  • Provide Executive-Level Reporting and Insights
    • Prepare summaries and updates for senior leadership on communication and WFM progress.
    • Recommend strategic adjustments based on data and trends.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Yes, 1 Direct Report

 

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 10-12 years’ experience in directly overseeing field communications and working with a Workforce Management solution (preferred UKG).
  • Willingness to travel to our Corporate Office in Novi, MI a minimum of 1 time per month.
