About the opportunity
Sydecar is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our mission of enabling thousands of new investors to do what they do best — identify and back entrepreneurs who are changing the world.
In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of the product experience for our Platform Team, owning mission critical infrastructure that will support all of our products and users. If you are passionate about building the infrastructure to power private markets, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York City with in-office attendance of two days per week.
What you'll do
In collaboration with a design and engineering team you will power our core products and build out tooling for internal users, including experiences such as currency support, banking redundancy, and operations.
Manage the Platform Team’s roadmap by driving discussion and alignment relative to prioritization, resource allocation, and strategic goals.
Model and shape a best in class product development process, from ideation, to validation, to launch, and post-launch analysis.
Strengthen your understanding of the fintech industry, private market landscape, and competitive trends to ensure our products remain a leader in our space.
Conduct market research and collect customer feedback to identify pain points and opportunities for future product development efforts.
Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, including C-suite executives and clients, by effectively communicating and aligning on product strategies, prioritization, and ensure all stakeholders understand the roadmap and its rationale.
What we're looking for
Experience in a formal Product Management role working with design and software engineering teams on a complex software solution.
2+ years experience as a Product Manager in fintech or financial services.
Experience with financial systems database architecture.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
A collaborative Product Manager who thrives in cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders and contributing across all aspects of product development.
A curious problem-solver eager to learn about alternative investments, deeply understand customer pain points, and turn insights into action.
A data-driven thinker who prioritizes user feedback, validates ideas, and measures impact through key metrics.

A strategic prioritizer who makes informed decisions with limited information and aligns teams on goals from backlog to roadmap.
A detail-oriented executor who anticipates edge cases and approaches problem-solving with rigor.
A process-driven professional who applies best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in execution.
A systems thinker who understands both the big picture and its individual parts, solving logic problems through data analysis, workflow mapping, and scalable solutions.
Bonus points if you have experience in, or are knowledgeable about, alternative investments, fund accounting, or private markets transactions.
Bonus points if you have prior experience in working with APIs.
