Job Summary

The Residential Case Manager is responsible for providing intervention and support resources for students whose behavior has raised a concern on campus. The Case Manager will also perform support functions for this role, including follow up of students routed to the CARE module and Redbird Care Team (RCT), and coordination of outreach functions within University Housing related to student behavioral concerns. The Case Manager will be jointly responsible for the drafting and implementation of protocols associated with the position, as well as maintaining accurate electronic case management records. The Case Manager will also coordinate training of student and staff leaders regarding early identification of students who may need services and best practices for referral and ongoing support of students in need. This position will be one of two full time Residential Case Managers. This position will live-in and participate in on-call rotation.

This is a 12-month, full-time, live-in position with an annually renewable contract for a maximum of five (5) years.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$3881/month

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree (US equivalent) and at least two years full-time experience working with students in higher education, case management, crisis intervention or advocacy situations.
2. At least one year of programming planning and implementation experience.
3. Travel between residential buildings and respond to critical incidents within 10 minutes.
4. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, Social Work, Education or related area of study.
2. At least two years of administrative experience (planning, data collection, report writing.)
3. Training in behavioral intervention (certification through NaBita or experience with HECMA (Higher Education Case Management Association.)
4. Experience in higher education crisis response related to student behavior.
5. Knowledge and understanding of student development theory and practice.
6. Knowledge of national principles and procedures involved in risk assessment.
7. Strong problem-solving skills.
8. Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills and active listening skills.
9. Flexibility and adaptability to shift from one task to another.

3. Move about in various locations across campus to complete day-to-day tasks.
