In 2021, Samsung announced a new facility in Taylor, Texas, where it plans to invest a minimum $17 billion in the build-out. The site spans 1,200+ acres and the first phase of development will have 4.7 million square feet of floor space consisting of a cluster of semiconductor manufacturing buildings such as a fab, office, parking garage, central utility building, and special utility supply facilities. The Taylor facility will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

Member of the Logistics Material Management team that reports to the Logistics Material Management Supervisor. Requires an analytical focus, recognizing gaps and accurately addressing root cause mitigation and resolution. Specific emphasis on the logistical movement of raw materials. Ensures systems SAP and other SAS systems accurately reflect material status to sustain production in a foundry fabrication operation. Supply chain logistics analysis and lean Six Sigma processes are essential to this position. Analyzes processes, provides oversight and technical expertise for logistical operations and supply chain KPI tracking. Acts as a liaison to third party contracted warehouses including capacity analysis and reporting. Coordinates with numerous departments, third party vendors, and indirect contractors. Candidate must possess a proven track record of successfully developing logistics processes and functions in a fast-paced and growing environment.

Specific Job Duties:

• Leverages understanding of supply chain management principles to apply quantitative and qualitative methods to optimize inventory.
• Coordinate and schedule raw material shipments to sustain target site levels and keep the Fab constantly supplied. Remain synchronized with end users’ requirements.
• Monitor delivery to receipt with end user.
• Responds quickly to internal and external disruptions in raw materials flow and operates as a liaison between procurement and end users.
• Oversees the deliveries of specialized shipments.
• Performs inventory reconciliation, including causative research and documents inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and offer possible solutions.
• Establishes metrics and KPIs to monitor success.
