What You Will Do

  • Utilize advanced methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to implement impactful process improvements and achieve cost savings.
  • Conduct capacity analysis to identify improvement initiatives aimed at increasing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Collect and analyze historical data, forecast future demand, assess available resources, balance capacity and demand, and identify constraints.
  • Engage in Gemba walks, continuous improvement initiatives, and Kaizen events to drive ongoing enhancements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization, providing training to cross-functional teams on lean principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, product engineering, program management, and Operations to ensure seamless teamwork.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a University Degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with SAP, PRISM and /or related tools.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience with military and industry standards.
  • Solid interpersonal skills - ability to communicate and influence at all levels within an organization.
  • Prior experience in Explosives and/or Energetics.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Problem-Solving Methodologies.
  • APICS CPIM Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with iChart tools for forecasting.
