Position: E&I Technician
Location: Rockdale, IL
POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
E&I Technician will be reporting on site in Rockdale, IL at Apollo Colors, Inc. Reporting to our Engineering & Facilities Manager
Responsible for calibration, service, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of electrical instrumentation, and electronic control systems on-site. The overall objective is to ensure that all motor controls, metering systems, and general maintenance of existing electrical and electronic equipment on site, fully support the operating requirements in all areas including safety, quality, productivity, capacity, and reliability.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain or assist in the installation/modification of PLC systems by working with process operations, engineering, and vendor personnel.
• Maintain documentation of the site electrical/electronic drawings and schematics to ensure the integrity of the system.
• Assist in the pre-commissioning and start-up of new equipment/instrumentation.
• Provide maintenance personnel with direction when assistance is needed on electrical and/or instrumentation problems.
• Perform troubleshooting of electrical/electronic control systems.
• Maintain and document the calibration of site instrumentation.
• Work with and support efforts in the development and implementation of the site PLC control system and DCS control system.
• Provide and assist with the maintenance of the plant scales and plant instrumentation systems.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• HS Diploma or GED
• Preferred Associate’s Degree
• Have a minimum of three (3) years of industrial instrumentation background
• Ability to work a variety of shift schedules
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Intellution, SQL, Allen Bradley and Batch Software
Hourly Pay Range: $33 - $38 per hour
