Clinical Engineering I Technician

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Clinical Engineering Technician I – to join our – team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary: The Clinical Engineering Technician I is responsible for carrying out Medical Equipment Management Plan as directed by department manager. This will include, but is not limited to, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, other scheduled services, and related technical activities with no supervision, on medical equipment. Work closely with internal care departments to plan and coordinate projects related to key medical equipment. Maintain an electronic equipment inventory, parts inventory, and work order documentation System. Maintain an equipment conditions assessment of major medical equipment. Support other areas as appropriate.
Work Schedule: FTE 1.0, 40 hours weekly, Monday - Friday.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved clinical engineering electronics program or Graduate of an approved electronics program or equivalent experience.
0 to 2 years of experience in clinical engineering electronics.
Preferred Qualifications:
CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) preferred.
