We are looking for a Senior Property Underwriter, based in Stockholm  

  

Your Team 

Allianz Commercial specializes in corporate property insurance for the most complex and challenging risk exposures in more than 200 countries and territories. With a focus on larger international risk portfolios, we offer tailor-made 'All Risks' property damage and business interruption insurance through our global network. 

 

You will be a part of our Nordic team providing industrial insurance solutions for our corporate clients across Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, but will predominantly be focusing on driving growth in the Swedish market. 

 

The Impact You Will Have 

Based in Sweden, you will work closely with clients and brokers to underwrite profitable new and renewal business locally to meet business targets. You will take ownership of large Property accounts/clients including underwriting, negotiation, pricing, terms, and conditions, and develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients. With ownership of accounts and clients, you will help sustain business growth and ensure client satisfaction.  

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets  

• Negotiate participation, pricing, and terms and conditions with clients and brokers to ensure favorable outcomes. 

• Take ownership of own portfolio of risks. 

• Underwrite and evaluate Property exposure, BI/CBI including NatCAT, ensuring an understanding of catastrophe modelling and interpretation of scenarios. 

• Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise and IIP lead capabilities. 

• Cultivate relationships  with brokers, clients and partners. 

• Foster collaboration with all other functions. 

• Work structured with prospect management. 

• Represent Allianz Commercial positively in external interactions. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Substantial experience in Underwriting profitable business in the IIP large corporate and upper mid corporate Property segment 

• Recognized relationships with clients and brokers at the peer group level and well-established within the market 

• Specialized understanding of regional/local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape, including global elements 

• Good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework 

• Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CII) 

• Risk Assessment and Management: Ability to assess risk inherent exposures, business interruption, and natural hazards 

• Contract Drafting and Interpretation: Design, develop, and implement consistent, robust wordings 

• Communication & Presentation: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. 

• Influencing skills: Ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority 

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, identify and resolve issues  

• Fluent in Swedish and English
